Don't miss this RV Park- we almost did!

Before I give you a review on this park, let me tell you what made me decide to review campgrounds in the first place.
We love to go camping and decided to try out a new place in September. We were planning to spend a weekend in Branson with family- good family, the kind we like to be with and who pay for your trip. So my parents booked us a hotel for the weekend but we wanted to camp the two days before. We thought we had found a great new place, and I made reservations. About a week before we left, I decided to do a little more research and long story short we ended up staying some place else entirely. But I was frustrated at how hard it is to get good information on-line about campgrounds. Wouldn't it be great if someone who stayed at a campground would tell you an honest review and show pictures? So that is my intention.
Now I think I will wait until the end to tell you the name of this park but you'll probably figure it out from pictures.
I will start with the best feature of this campground or RV Park. Actually, I'll give the place a 10 and list the 10 best things about it.

1. the bathrooms/ shower house
They were the cleanest bathrooms I've ever used at a campground. We have a pop-up camper with no bathroom so we have no choice but to use the shower house. There were four individual bathrooms. That means you went into your own bathroom- just like at home. They were decorated nicely, clean, roomy, had hooks to hang things on, had a nice sink area with a big mirror and good lighting, and not crowded. The park was pretty full when we were there, too, so I don't think they would be crowded even in the super busy times. Oh wait, that is always in Branson.
2. the quiet We slept so good at this place. We could not hear traffic at all.

3. the location

This RV Park is very close to everything in Branson. Some things were within walking distance but it would be a pretty good walk. We went to Silver Dollar City. We drove, of course, and it took about 10 minutes. Not bad!
4. the hosts

We drove up (had reservations) and a man came out, met us, led us to our site and then showed us exactly how to get in it. When researching this campsite the only negative thing I had read from another review was that someone had trouble backing into their site. We had a pull-through and it was no problem. Actually, it was extremely easy.

5. our campsite

It was plenty big for us but not huge. We had a triangle deck with a picnic table. No place to build a campfire but not really what we were there for this trip. It was shady and peaceful. Our four-year old boy had fun playing on the deck and it was completely blocked by our camper and jeep so I wasn't worried about him running in to the street.

6. wi-fi and cable

We had an electric and water site. One advantage to having our T.V. was it kept our son entertained since there was not a playground.

7. porch swing

As I said- there was no playground. It was a very dog friendly place but there weren't many young families there. Matter fact, I didn't see any other kids, but it was the middle of the week in September. Back to the porch swing, there was a clubhouse that had a nice porch swing on the front porch.

8. shade- the whole place is shaded and pretty with all the trees and winding roads.

9. running- well, if you like to run straight up huge hills. But hey, once again, it is the Ozark Mountains. I did not personally experience the athletic aspect to this park but my husband did get up and run four miles through Branson.

10. I guess all that's left is the price. It wasn't super cheap but I thought it was worth the cost. The prices are all listed on their website at: www.bransonrvparks.com. It doesn't say this but we got a 10% discount because we have a Silver Dollar City Season Pass. And the name of the park is Branson Shenanigans RV Park.

One more thing, we camped here in September of 2008.
